Another Year

Another year. What was a measly year to an elf? An immortal? Erestor concealed a sigh as another elf came to him asking for guidance. Where to place the ribbons? What color ribbons should be placed upon the main table? What wine would be best for the prefestival festival? Erestor wished he could oversee all the preparations himself, but he was only one elf. So he did all he could and delegated the rest of it to the household staff.

Duo looked down at the boy sleeping with his head nestled on his lap. It was hard to believe that he held such power within his hands. The thought that Chang Wufei, last of his clan, loved him still filled him with reverence.

Made for Angst

I am currently deeply entrenched in two fandoms which feature the angsty characters, Severus Snape and Erestor of Imladris(at least they are angst ridden in their respective fandoms). I recently read a comment that stated that Snape was made for angst and frankly, I could not agree more. It's what drew me to the HP fandom. Likewise the dark, gloomy past writers tend to construct for Erestor, a minor LoTR's character. I love to see these two suffer...as long as happiness finds them in the end.

I'm off to search for more angsty fluff featuring my two loves. Ah, tall, dark, and misunderstood.
